1. Introduction

This policy explains how 文渡PDF handles information when you use our PDF and document tools. It applies to the website, the installable web app, the desktop application and the browser extension. We have kept it concrete: it describes what actually happens on your device.

2. Your Files

We do not receive your files. Every tool processes documents inside your browser, so the contents of your PDFs, images and other files are never transmitted to us or to any third party. When you close or reload the page, the working data the browser held for that task is released.

3. How Processing Works

文渡PDF is a client-side application. That means:

• Processing runs in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly
• There is no upload step, because no server receives your documents
• We have no way to open, read or store what you process
• The same principle applies to the desktop app and the browser extension

4. Information We Collect

We do not operate user accounts and we do not run third-party analytics. In practice we hold no profile about you and no information about your documents. Like any website, our hosting and content delivery providers may keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP address, user agent and requested URL, for security and reliability. Those logs are not used to build profiles or to follow you across sites.

5. What We Store in Your Browser

The tools work better when the browser remembers a few things. These values stay on your device and are never sent to us:

• Your language preference, so the site opens in your language
• Your light or dark theme choice
• Your favourite tools and your recent file history
• Whether you completed or dismissed the first-visit tour
• Form layouts you saved in the form creator
• Projects you saved, and embedded fonts cached for faster text rendering

6. Cookies

Our own cookie use is limited to a single functional cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers your language and lasts about one year. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies of our own. The Cookie Policy lists every cookie and storage key in detail.

7. Advertising

文渡PDF is free and funded by advertising. Ads are served by third-party partners, who may set their own cookies to measure and personalise advertising. They never receive your documents or their contents, because the tools run entirely in your browser and the ad slots are separate from them. You can dismiss the sidebar ads at any time with the close button.

8. Third-Party Services

We keep third parties to a minimum. We do not use:

• Third-party analytics or tracking scripts
• Advertising networks that receive your file contents
• Social media tracking pixels
• External file conversion or processing services

9. Security

Because your files never leave your device, their confidentiality depends on your own device rather than on our servers. We recommend keeping your browser and operating system up to date, and using a trusted network when handling sensitive documents.

10. Retention and Deletion

We hold no documents and no account data to retain or delete. Browser-stored data such as language, theme, favourites, history and saved projects remains until you clear it through your browser settings. Clearing site data removes it from the device permanently.

11. Your Rights

Data protection laws such as the GDPR give you rights to access, correct and delete personal data. Because we do not collect personal data, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve on your behalf. If you believe we still hold something about you, contact us and we will look into it.

12. Children

文渡PDF is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
